Great photo, Gemma, and I LOVE eucalyptus / gum trees! The smell of the leaves - hmmm. I always carry a little film roll container (those mostly black plastic container, where -ages ago when there were no digital cameras, the films were stored in. Just as an info for all the younger readers ;-)), okay, I got one in my hand bag with some dried eucalyptus leaves inside. And when I feel "homesick" for Australia, I take a smell ;-) ...although I am German, I feel homesick for Down Under, strange, isn't it? ;-) Anyway, I just thought I might share this little "secret" with you - as the bark reminded me of that... need to take a smell right now :-D

Wonderful texture Gemma!
Wonderful patterns in that bark.
Would like to feel it with hands...
Today the site is working, thanks for hosting.
That IS rugged. The side lighting really makes the photo.
The patterns in the bark are interesting, I'm seeing a couple of Siamese kings on the left with pointed hats.
great is this tree bark
Thank You
