So beautiful Gemma, happy holidays.
That is Nigella damascena, Love-in-a-Mist, I have had some that self-sows and keeps coming back every spring for the last 20 years. I bought some seeds this year that have more colors, since mine are only blue, the lavender color is pretty. They are edible, but the one used more for food is Nigella sativa, Black Cumin, used for its very healthy oil.
Hannah beat me to it. I need some of these seeds!
Beautiful! Merry Christmas!
Happy week to you!
What a lovely colour! We are waiting for the snow to come.Merry Christmas and wishing you a good week.
Thank you ever so much Hannah. The flower had to have a pretty and romantic name to match its amazing design.
Nice find. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thanks for sharing.
Love that color!
